XBOX360 PROS: I was shocked at how good the graphics are. I really didn’t think there was a big difference between last generation and the current generation, but I can see now that there is. One of my neighbors brought over the NCAA 10, and the difference between it and my PS2 NCAA 10 is like night and day. I’m one of the strange ones that prefers the 360 controller. I have big hands, it fits well, and I like the layout of their analog controllers better than the Sony controllers, though I guess is isn’t a big difference. The controller is nice though. Hardly no noise level and no heating up. So, so far, the Jasper must be doing its job. Overall, I’m very pleased with it and at least feel positive about this generation of consoles, as can be seen by pre-ordering the PS3 slim.

I have to say that this xbox is much better than the earlier versions. It is a little quieter and doesn’t overheat,I’ve played for 10 hours straight with no RROD, awesome.

    PLAYSTATION 3 PROS : You’ll get:

    • FREE Blu-Ray capabilities right out of the box.
    • Upgrade the hard drive to any size you like…I put a 500gb in mine.
    • The controllers are much better and actually fit in your hands AND you don’t have to replace the internal batteries.
    • The controllers and all other accessories communicate via blue-tooth….MODERN technology.
    • FREE online gaming with NO ADS.
    • FREE wifi capabilities right out of the box.

The first party games are leaps and bounds better than anything the XBOX can produce because the developers aren’t limited by the older DVD technology.
The PS3 was built for the future…you won’t have to buy another console years down the road.

I’ve found so much value in the PS3 that I have bought two – one for the bedroom and one for the living room.

In my capacity as the UK Director of Operations for One World Tours Limited, one of my jobs is to ensure every client has the best tour possible, so here’s my top 10 tips if you are considering holidays in Egypt

    1. Consider your dress. Egypt is a largely Muslim country and with this in mind, men and women should consider what they wear. You certainly do not have to be over the top, lets face it, it’s a hot climate. But you should avoid shorts and short sleeved shirts. Women may also want to consider taking a head scarf too, not for general use, but just in case they visit particularly important temples etc.

    2. Pens. Offer a child an Egyptian pound or a pen and they will take the pen every time. Pens for children are like gold-dust. So if you want to give the kids a treat, pack a box of cheap pens and give them out whenever you get the chance. Do note though, that you need to do this not too openly as if you don’t you may have a very good natured riot on your hands as kids will appear out of nowhere when you start handing them out.

    3. Toilet Paper. Toilet paper is often at a premium at historical sites and so it’s a really good idea to take a roll out of your hotel and take it in your back whenever you are out for the day. It should also be noted here that toilets at many historical sites are not of a “western standard” so arranging toilet visits in hotels, restaurant stops etc is not a bad idea.

    4. Water. Like with any other hot climates, you should look to take plenty of water with you on your days out and make sure it’s sealed of course.

5 Avoid Ice / Salads etc. This related partly to number 4. People generally know not to drink non bottled water (to avoid possible upset stomachs), but often they over look that ice is frozen water and that salads have often been washed in water. Keep these things in mind when ordering food and drinks.

6 Take small notes. If you are going to tip, it’s a good idea and it avoids embarrassment to change up some bigger notes for a number of 1 LE (Egyptian Pound) notes

7 Be Strong. This applies to people begging. Egypt is a relatively financially poor country and with that comes the fact that people (children and adults) will beg. This is obviously a very personal issue, but obviously it’s possible to personally sort out all of Egypts financial problems. So feel free to help out where you can and when you feel comfortable, but realize, it’s just not possible to give to everyone who asks.

8 When in Rome. This again partly relates to tip 1. You are ultimately holidaying in a more reserved country and therefore you need to just think about things like public shows of affection. Obviously we want you to have a good time, just be respectful to a different culture and you’ll be just fine.

9 Haggle. As a tourist, when you buy almost anything, anywhere, the price will be marked up. You therefore HAVE to bargain your socks off. We generally suggest offering a maximum of 1/3 to 1/2 of the asking price and work up. If you can do it, you are even better to not offer a price at all, but just keep saying no and let them lower the price. The best tip is to just keep saying no until the person selling stops and lets you walk. At that point, you just won’t get a better price and then you have the option to go back and say OK I’ll take it at that price !

10 Baksheesh. If you do not know what this is, by the end of your holidays you will ! Baksheesh is a tip in Egypt for just about anything. From carrying your bags at the airport to offering to have a picture with you or showing around a tomb. So just be aware. If you chose to pay (it’s completely optional) pay with the smallest bills / nots possible (1 LE will be just fine).

Any analog model train and railroad hobbyists know that wiring and electrical setups is one of the most important aspect and an exciting part of controlling the stop and runs of the set. All trains ought to stop at every station and gradually slow down on every tight corner and junction. In every station, there is a certain amount of time where trains can load and unload passengers. To make this automatic run possible when operating model trains and railways, you need to do add some accessories and change wirings.

In order to achieve this goal, you have to know where to segregate certain divisions of the track and to configure the circuit board wirings that will tell your model train what to do when it goes through a certain portion of the track. A necessary accessory to be able to inform the circuit board when the train to stop is known as a position sensor.

To slow down the train, an AS-1 circuit board is needed. From the circuit board, one wire should be connected to the isolated rail and another wire is connected to the powered rail on the same isolated track. A train with a flywheel works great with this feature for the reason that it can slow down the train and start it up again. The train will regain its maximum speed once it is out of the non-isolated track.

To slow down, delay, stop and start the train a position sensor is required along with a DT-4, TD-1 and AS-1 circuit boards. Connect the DT-4 and TD-1 boards with a single wire. Then connect a wire coming from the DT-4 to the isolated track and connect a separate wire from the TD-1 on a rail from the same isolated track. A third line should connect TD-1 to AS-1 and a wire from the AS-1 should go to the non-isolated track.

The train will begin to slow down as it gets to the isolated track and will stop as it reaches the station where the photo sensor is placed. Depending on how long you set the duration for the train to stop on the circuit board, it will re-activate which will move the train at a start pace. When it reaches the next track, it will pick up speed.

If you want your model trains to have a reverse direction, an AR-1 circuit board will do the job and two position sensors. Two individual wires from the AR-1 should connect to both rails on the track and another couple of wires connects to the photo sensor.

If you are not much of a tinkerer, going digital would be the answer by getting a Digital Command Control. DCC enables you to command the train’s momentum and direction without getting any additional components and wirings.

When planning a wedding it is always important to find a popping DJ. The food can be great, the drinks flowing, and the company enjoyable, but if the music is flat the wedding will struggle. Anyone that has been to a wedding that featured a lame DJ who played terrible music can attest to the previous statement.

Rockford djs are plentiful, but the djs who fit the bill are few. There are a few qualities that are more important than others. One of these qualities is experience. No one wants to deal with someone learning on the job. Since a wedding is a one time event, experience takes on an even greater importance.

Another quality to look for in a Rockford dj is attention. A dj company that only runs one event at a time is great to use. This way they can give every wedding they work their full attention instead of spreading themselves thin and also spreading the quality thin.

The final great quality to search for in dj services Rockford is the ability to choose the desired music before the wedding. No one wants surprises on the day of the wedding. Having all of the music desired lined up and ready to go is very important.

So when searching for wedding djs be sure to search for specific qualities. The dj is extremely important to the overall event. There is no reason to ruin a wedding when choosing a great dj is as simple as searching for a few specific qualities.

Most families contemplate utilising bunk beds for their children to alleviate a lack of space or due to the demands of the infant. The one up one down technique of bunk bed although quite an thrilling adventure for young children could be very dangerous; almost 85% of bed incidents are originated from metal bunk beds. There are numerous dangers guardians need to be aware of when purchasing a bunk bed.

Even though a tumble single-handedly could considerably injur a kid, furnishings in the vicinity of the bunk bed may perhaps pose a further risk. Objects such as blind cords are considerably dangerous; they can easily become tied around a kid’s head and several deaths have arisen because of the kid’s robe cord getting tied around the neck in the middle of the the fall. Such cases are very rare although they do ask the question of how out of harm’s way our children are in bunk beds. Although, children’s bunk beds are a fanatastic means of construing some responsibility onto your kid and as stated previously they are an excellent space salvaging tool, so they shouldn’t be ignored completely.

Metal bunk beds are safer now than ever. Better equipment, better build, and improved design have all contributed towards a considerably safer bunk bed than more than ten years ago. Most bed bunk incidents are a consequence of horseplay, in fact, many accidents are as a result of teenagers jumping around on the beds, in particular college dorm lofts and metal bunk beds. As long as safe practices are observed, your kid will be okay. Educate them to never jump on the top bunk and how to use the ladder correctly.

If you are planning to go on a fun-filled vacation to Hawaii, you are certainly not alone. Hawaii is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the whole world, and not just the Americas. Millions of people feel the magnetic pull of Hawaii’s sun-filled beaches, enchanting music, and lush, tropical surroundings. That said, some people can’t think about going to Hawaii because of prohibitive costs. However, Hawaii rentals offer such people an easy way to experience their dream vacation in Hawaii at a more affordable price.

Due to Hawaii being such a desired vacation destination, a Hawaii hotel reservation is normally booked months ahead, and in the most popular winter months reservations can be a year in advance. This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to reserve rooms — especially if they are oceanfront or oceanview. Fortunately, you don’t have to stay in a hotel. The selection of Hawaii vacation home rentals is very diverse.

You can find many different types of Hawaii rentals, including condominiums, town houses, apartments, and even full size houses. Generally, your rental agent will indicate which type of rental facility you should consider. Full size houses tend to be more expensive, but as anywhere, prices will vary.

Choosing a vacation in Hawaii involves a number of exciting choices. Although tourists can’t visit every island in the archipelago, an Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Kauai or Big Island vacation home is a widely popular alternative to staying at a crowded hotel.

There are numerous advantages to choosing a rental property as opposed to a hotel. Rental properties frequently have more amenities such as full kitchens, fenced backyards offering private sunbathing, enclosed parking, large screen TVs and DVD players. These are amenities you generally will not find in a standard hotel. For a complete listing of amenities available with each vacation rental property, visit our website.

Business Networking Tips – Clear the Trees

The following is an excerpt from the upcoming book Face-to-Face Networking Skills

    by Mindy Selinger

All of the information and resources you need to be successful are within your reach, just waiting to be discovered. There are times when we are so busy and focused on one component of our business that we ‘can’t see the forest for the trees’. That’s where having a PowerPartner comes in.  They’ll see an opportunity for you and share it with you. They’re priceless. This I know personally.  Not too long ago, one of my PowerPartner forwarded an email with a resource that she thought I could use, she also gave me her thoughts on how I could use the resource. I knew about it. In fact, I had  received the very same email that morning. But I had been busy. I had so many ‘trees’ in front of my that I couldn’t see the ‘forest’ or the application that she saw for me. So I got a MASSIVE result because I took action. I’m very thankful that she took the time to share her ideas with me…  A good PowerPartner looks out for you. You can find an excellent PowerPartner at your local Business Networking Groups.

Peter Shankman (of HARO) on the misuse of Facebook

This guy is great! I receive at least three emails a day from him, but I always read each one. (he has nearly 50,000 subscribers and an ‘open rate’ that is just to die for!) “He is redefining the art of networking” is how PR Magazine has described Peter Shankman. Peter is uproarious… a  hyper-active PR specialist, social media addict, marathon-running, skydiver, with two cats (NASA & Karma). He is  the founder of  HARO – Help A Reporter Out. HARO is an unique business networking website. The three or so emails a day contain inquires from reporters looking for sources. I have been quoted in a national magazine! More importantly, I know lots of people who are experts. I usually forward several queries every week. Some people I have forwarded to have actually made it to print! I love HARO because it fits so well into the philosophy I  teach; become a hub through which information flows. Go to HARO.com and subscribe today.  Then start forwarding queries to the ‘experts’ you know. It may give them their ‘big break’.Please follow his simple rules.

I wanted to share this article that Peter wrote on the misuse of Facebook invitations.  Go to shankman.com to read the article. My thoughts exactly. Even though Facebook and LinkedIn are business networking sites. Have I implied from friending someone on FB or Linked in that I want to be added to their marketing promotions? Most of the time they’ve also added me to their email/announcement list, (How’d I end up there?) so the FB invites are duplicates. I’ll bet this is happening on FaceBook and LinkedIn. Not to long ago I received this message on LinkedIn: “My Mom has entered the Macy’s ‘I believe’ 2009 campaign competition to win a trip to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade… Will you please vote for her?” Nope… sorry. Enjoy!

Just about everyone would like to spruce up their interior walls with some colorful paint, but are too frightened to take the plunge away from off-white or beige.

The house owner is scared a bolder color array may not complement their furniture, will be too bright, and have a bunch of other reasons. Your furniture and design can take on a new look with a designer flare simply by painting your walls. So, the first question you can ask is how do I choose the right color? Below are some recommendations to help select.

Rather than selecting rich, deep colours for your first project, you may probably feel more content with a neutral color like beige or gray and so won’t date the room or make a statement that you’ll simply tire of. At your local home improvement store, you will be faced with a sea of color swatches – masses of versions of basic beige and gray to pick between. So before you visit your local paint store, consider these steps in choosing the best color for you. If you like the sensation of a warm and comfy room – think about fireplaces, brown leather and sunsets – then you may need to begin with a beige tone.

What colours do you see? If you’ve a lot of black or navy, you may need to select beige with orange or pink undertones to keep the look warm. You’ll also find plenty of ideas on bedding for the home here.If you have browns or reds in your furniture, select cooler beige with ashy tones to avoid overheating your room. If you like a cooler, ethereal look, chrome, glass, and shades of icy blue, then select grey tones. Some will have blue or lavender tones, others could have green or perhaps a touch of pink.Using the same guide as mentioned above, identify the main colours of furniture and accessories in the room. Use green or pink toned grey with cool toned furnishings to avoid it from feeling like an icebox. This bedding information can also freshen up your home.

Use blue or lavender undertones in rooms with hotter colored furnishings. If you doubtful between beige and grey, than the best color to work with is green. Keeping it in a muted tone will make it so straightforward to live with, and will work with lots color palates. Painting your rooms with color will bring a finishing designer touch to your home.

Blogging traffic is a give and take relationship. Sometimes one of the best ways to get traffic to your blog is by visiting someone else ’s blog.

Go to their blog and read one of their entries, or read a few of them. Chances are that you are going to find something that you have in common.

When you find something that you find truly interesting on a blog, leave a comment so that they know that you were there. One of the best known blogs available is LiveJournal.

A great feature of LiveJournal is that you can search for interests on their site and it will come up with results of those who have that interest.

Are you interested in horseback riding? You can see what other bloggers are interested in horseback riding as well. When you are commenting on someone’s post, you want to make sure that you don’t leave generic comment.

If you like the post, say something about what you read in the post. After you have commented on the person’s post, then you can say something like, “I really like horseback riding too. I had a similar experience to yours.”

and then use it to link back to your journal. You can do this with an acchor text such as gogvo or malta holidays.

But be sure that you sound sincere when you are commenting, and don’t make them feel like you’re just fishing for traffic.

By following these strategies, you will get yourself some free web traffic but if someone thinks that you are using their blog to get more traffic to yours, they won’t visit your site and your efforts will be wasted.
